Black Bag Friday Part 2.

peakukpete

The Paddle Peak crew and family were out cleaning the the River Derwent Valley again on Christmas Friday. The team cleared flood debris from around Willersley Castle, Masson Mill and Cromford Mills. Most of the rubbish retrieved was black plastic hay bale wrapping and netting that was washed into the river in the horrendous November Floods. Other junk included traffic barriers, road cones and the usual sanitary waste and wipes that overflow out of the sewers during high water.

Thanks to the usual suspects Pete Montandon, Snakey, Ben Seal and the Peak UK Family young and old for their tremendous effort. Thanks to our friends at Willersley Castle Hotel, Cromford Mill and Masson Mill for supporting our project. Thanks to Derbyshire Dales District Council for collecting the rubbish.
