Steve Reed OBE MP, who is the Secretary of State for Defra was taken on the Derwent, to see what kind of state our rivers are currently in.

Whilst the sun shined and the rubbish was collected, Steve along with Ben Seal discussed matters such as the water commission and water access.

A good step in the right direction and a big thank you to all those who turned up ready to literally pick up rubbish and make the Derwent a cleaner place for all paddlers and wildlife.

Still a long way to go, but step by step we're making progress.
